Today, we bring you insight into the morning ritual of our friend Holly Harris, who is the founder of Nulla Content.



Describe your sleeping space.

I like my bedroom to be minimal and cosy and obsess over luxury bedding and decorative cushions as it just makes the space so welcoming.

What time do you usually wake up?

I try to wake up at 7:30 to allow myself a slow morning before starting work. However, on the weekends, I do allow myself to lie in a little as you cannot beat that feeling.

What is the first thing you do when you wake?

Breakfast and a cup of mint tea. I cannot begin my day without fuelling my body and sitting with my thoughts whilst I enjoy my breakfast.

What do you need to get a good night's sleep

I have recently begun reading a chapter of my book before bed and have found that this helps wind down and relax into a deeper sleep.

Your AM Skincare / Self Care Routine?

I must say, I'm not a huge skincare person. That being said, before I do anything in the morning, I wash my face, apply moisturiser and use my gua sha stone.

Your go to Morning beverages 

A big cup of mint tea!

A typical breakfast might look like?

Anything with peanut butter - but usually PB on toast or granola with oat milk, blueberries and peanut butter.

What does an average day look like

I run my own business, so my days vary quite a bit as I can work from anywhere. I typically sit at my desk to get my work done, head to a gym class in the evening and then cook a healthy dinner (I love home cooking). But I have loved mixing up my routine recently and trying out new cafes to work from.

On a productive day you’ll…

When it's light and sunny in the morning, I am my most productive self. I wake up early, get a workout in, smash out a day of work and ensure that I have time in the evening to see friends, try a new recipe or try out a new restaurant.

When you’re tired, you’ll…

Make myself a hot chocolate, put on some comfies, press play on my favourite Youtube vlog on and curl up on the sofa with a blanket.

What time do you start work?

It varies a little, but normally 9:30-10:00

On an average day, what’s on your morning to-do list?

Wake up slow with breakfast and a podcast or some TV

Get changed into something that makes you feel great and get ready - something I'm really trying to get better at working from home.

Write my to do list for work

Block out some time for a walk in the day.

What is the  soundtrack to your morning? (Apodcast, song, mix, or album)

I am such a podcast lover. Happy Place by Fearne Cotton is my absolute favourite. I find her voice so kind and nostalgic.
